Just your irregular 27 year old who is obsessed with stale gummy worms, doggos and capturing life’s greatest adventures. Being a photographer was always something I wanted to do from the very get go. To be able to have the most intimate, true moments that I could cherish forever captured was something that meant so much to me from such a young age. Being told I could never make anything of myself since I had a very misogynistic dad was what stopped me for so long. It wasn’t until I met my husband and he put utter and complete faith in me and bought me my first camera that I finally felt like myself. Not knowing whether I would suck or not, he didn’t care! He just wanted me to be happy. Here we now and I would never look back. Having someone who believes in you and who you love/what you love is so important. That's one thing I make sure all my couples know. I believe in you and I am here for you.
Just your own personal Leslie Knope on wedding day.
I am all about life's spontaneous moments so don't be afraid to ask me to travel! In fact I'll love you even more.
-Let's get together and have a rad time!
Growing up in a family which ultimately ended in divorce, I learned to see the world so differently. I learned to cherish what real love is and appreciate every second of it. That's why being a photographer is so important to me, I want to help you enjoy the moment while I step back and capture it all. The hugs you get from loved ones you only see once every few years, to photos with your best friends doing shots. I'm here for it all. One thing that I hold true to myself is to not take life not so seriously because anything can happen and I mean anything. ( I had a squirrel steal cookies out of my backpack while I wasn't looking one time. It's such a funny story to talk about now) More importantly though, I've learned that the most important thing you can do is put your worries aside and enjoy the moment as it is. Especially on your wedding day.
Being able to go with the flow and improvise in any given situation is one of my true superpowers. From scaling walls to hang your dress, fixing hair and make up during your day, to calling out to see if anyone has water for you during the ceremony because someone forgot it (Yes, all of these have happened haha) I will 110% be here for you.
I would definitely say I have a travel bug. I have travelled across the entire country and Canada with my grandparents every Summer. I've been so fortunate to visit every state, from salmon fishing in Valdez, Alaska to eating alligator in Florida, they made sure it was always nothing short of an adventure. Not only have I wandered my way around the states, but I've also taught English in Italy to a private family and got to travel with them to some of the most mesmerizing cities i've ever seen! By far one of the coolest thing's I've ever done!
Carbs. yah girl loves herself some carbs. I like to think that as long as I make it at home, it's not that bad for me haha. I have a sourdough addiction and i'm not even ashamed of it. I've even shared some of my sourdough starter with some of my brides so if you end up being one of them, don't be afraid to ask. It's magical. Don't even get me started.
I like to think of myself as an avid hiker, but in all reality, I only hike maybe 1-2 times a week. (on a good week) so i'm not really an avid hiker hahaha. Honestly I just enjoy good company and lots of laughter. One of my favorite quotes is "Happiness is only real when shared" - Christopher McCandless
-The feel of the morning sun on my face.
-A brisk morning in the mountains.
-My husband Trent ++ our two dogs and adventure cat pictured above ( adventure cat not pictured)
"Happiness can be found, even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light" - Albus Dumbledore
Not only am I a photographer, but I also teach English to kids online in China! I've been teaching for almost two years now and most mornings I actually wake up at 1:25 am. Big OPE.
go as planned
